An additional secret combined with a seed phrase to derive a separate set of keys.
A sequence of words from which a wallet's keys can be restored; the master backup.
The seed phrase is the master backup. A passphrase is an extra secret added to it; the same seed phrase with a different passphrase derives a different set of keys.
