Country hubs

One page per country that brings together what we have for it. A part we do not have yet says so; nothing is filled in by a guess.

The country is part of the address. We never guess it from your language, your location or a cookie.

Launch jurisdictions

Six countries, each with its own rules.

Each hub carries the full text, the register links and the sources. Choosing a country changes the guides and the tax content, never the ratings.

Consumer prices: World Bank, World Development Indicators: Inflation, consumer prices (annual %)

More countries

Where money has a story to tell.

These hubs open in stages. A Country Money Story is readable once it is published; the full hub follows when the guides are localised.

A German tax guide and a Spanish tax guide are not translations of each other. They are different documents about different tax systems.

How country content is written

Localised, not translated

What stays the same in every language, and what does not.

Localisation is editorial work by someone who knows the country. A language is not added without at least one localised country guide.

Translated, the same everywhere

  • Glossary definitions and stable term identifiers
  • The method, the criteria and every rating number
  • Incident records and the source register

Written in English first, then translated with human review.

Localised, different per country

  • Tax guides, dated to the country's tax year
  • Registers, regulators and access routes
  • Cash rules, CBDC status and the Country Money Story

English with Austria is /en-gb/do?country=AT: English text, Austrian rules.

How we know

Country content is reviewed for its country.
