The retail central bank digital currency rows describe a design as specified (for the digital euro, in ECB and Commission documents), not a launched product.

How the table is kept

  • A cell shows a value only with at least one source from the source register and the date the value refers to.
  • A cell without both says “Not yet sourced”. It is never left blank and never shown as zero.
  • Where a form of money differs in a country, the table shows that country’s own cell or name, or a sourced and dated statement that it does not exist there.
  • The table comes from the published reference release method-v1.2.0, the same versioned repository as the rating method.
